“It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.”
-Opening Quote by Seneca, Day 27, Rolf Gates, Meditations from the Mat
Day 27 – Veritas vos liberabit. In Latin, veritas; in Greek, ἀλήθεια. Today’s reading is about satya, or truth. Rolf describes out moment of grasping at the “yoga” lifestyle as we resist satya, but venture into the world of more. He calls this “mountain madness,” whereby “we have to try one more time to find some thing to complete our experience of being…the direct experience of wholeness produces a search for wholeness that will leave us feeling incomplete.” Truth. We search for something, but we find the truth in formless wholenessness.
